HealthBuddy AI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Please read it before using the app.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: Email address and display name when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email.
- Health & care data: Medications, vitals, appointments, emergency contacts, caregiver notes, and optional location when you enable safety features.
- Apple Health: If you connect Apple Health, selected wellness metrics you approve may sync into the app.
- Usage data: Anonymous analytics to improve features and reliability.
- Subscriptions: Purchase status via our subscription partner. We do not store payment card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To run the app — reminders, family sharing, reports, and cloud sync between your devices.
- To send notifications you opt into (e.g. medication reminders or caregiver alerts).
- To provide optional AI-generated health insights where enabled.
- To improve the product using aggregated, anonymised analytics.
AI features
Some insights may use third-party AI services. We send only the data needed for that feature — not your password or payment details. AI output is informational only and is not medical advice.
3. Sharing & caregivers
If you use a family or caregiver code, the person you authorise can see the health information you share for that profile. We do not sell your data to advertisers.
4. Third-party services
We use trusted providers for sign-in, secure cloud storage, notifications, subscriptions, and analytics. They process data only to provide those services to us.
5. Your rights
- View and edit your data in the app at any time.
- Delete your account from app settings to remove associated cloud data.
- Contact us to request a copy of your data or ask privacy questions.
6. Security & retention
We use encryption in transit and access controls designed to keep your data safe. Data is kept while your account is active and removed when you delete your account, subject to short backup cycles.
7. Children
HealthBuddy AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
8. Changes & contact
We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
